Sydney TAFE Radio showcases teaching and learning in a real radio setting. Sydney TAFE Radio is opertaed by the Communication and Media Departments – Radio Broadcast Division and the  station is run by students studying Radio Broadcasting, News Media and Diploma Courses at Petersham College.

Sydney TAFE Radio is a digital online internet radio station streaming live from the studios at Petersham TAFE 24 hours a day providing  educational news and information about current careers, industry & employment opportunities for students and the wider TAFE Community.

The Technology

The Media Centre and Sydney TAFE Radio is a world class radio training facility providing students with technology relevant to tomorrows radio broadcast world.

The Media Centre consists of a computer room, media board room, news room, green room and 2 broadcast radio studios. This facility is a hands on, interactive environment combining theory and practice in a unique educational radio broadcast environment.

The software we use at The Media Centre and on Sydney TAFE Radio include: WorkFlow, Microsoft Office, Adobe Audition, Station Playlist on Air Automation, Smart Board Tecnology, NewsWorxs

The Media Centre and Sydney TAFE Radio will be the first educational facility in the world to train students on server based control software to allow the Sydney TAFE Radio Station to control every aspect of it’s radio workflow content.
